Marcel Molina Jr. releases new simple to use Amazon S3 Ruby library (AWS::S3)
Spotted thanks to Ruby Inside’s Advent Calender 2006.
37signals code wizard Marcel Molina Jr has quietly released a library for accessing and manipulating Amazon S3 1 buckets. A project called s33r already existed, but Marcel’s AWS::S3 library looks a lot simpler to use, and has a more Rails-esque feel.
This looks like a very promising new library for accessing Amazon’s S3 storage system. I have a couple of Rails projects that I’m considering using S3 for hosting so I’ll be checking it out.
The other option for accessing S3 is to use the original Amazon S3 Library for REST in Ruby.
Further Information
AWS::S3 A Ruby Library for Amazon’s Simple Storage Service’s (S3) REST API.
